If it was a meaningful country in the era, it's included.

The entire map is redone as a real-world map based around Europe, but it also reaches Northern Africa & the Middle East. It's a fairly big download but is very worth it. I've played hours and hours and hours of the 1257 AD mod for Warband. Both were pretty neat, but I honestly mostly really liked the "native" mod for the original Mount and Blade. I've tried Diplomacy and, uh, 1300 AD or something like that? A mod that converts the map to medieval Europe with appropriate factions and troops. I would be very curious to hear if anyone's tried any of the bigger Warband mods. Pack a crossbow for yourself if you have that as a skill I've found that throwing weapons just don't have the reach or the ammo capacity and I'm down on bows for their low damage and high arc. Nord top-tier infantry are the best (Huscarls? Jarls?). My best recommendation is to get very powerful infantry. Sieges are generally pretty brutal I never cared for them myself. As far as I know, engineering mostly determines how long it takes to build siege engines and construct improvements to your fiefs. I believe every siege scenario is determined by the map, not by your engineering. There was a popular "core" mod for the original that let you disable this there's almost certainly one available for Warband but it's not included in the few Warband mods I've tried.Ģ. As far as I know, they'll basically always leave eventually if there's someone they're incompatible with, but there's a very good chance they'll rejoin you if you stumble upon them later (until they inevitably leave again, etc.). Re: castle assaults, does the number of siege ladders/towers vary only according to the particular city or castle, or according to the engineering skill level of the party? It seems nuts to try to take a city with only one siege ladder-your guys all get slaughtered at the bottleneck.ġ. Will the unhappier one eventually just leave (taking his equipment with, not to mention his party skills), or can that be prevented if overall company morale is high enough?Ģ. The other one said he was "concerned" about it. When two of your hero companions can't stand each other (in my case Jeremus and Artimenner), is it best to just dump one of them and find a compatible replacement with similar party skills (Ymira in this case)? Will one of the feuding companions inevitably leave? I recently asked one of them the "how do you think things are going" question, and he said he was "downright appalled" at my choice of companions. Hi, all, this game has taken over my weekends lately, and I have a couple of questions:ġ.
